Hi ,

I live in Canada for 2 years .Last month I got my BC PNP Certificate and LMO Confirmation and I submitted online work permit extension. Under MyCIC It allows you to apply for yourself and for your family member together. So I applied for myself and mu husband . My Husband is in Turkey right now.Last week I got an email from CIC and they approved my application and for my husband it is still shown as submitted. I called the CIC ,they said that since he is in Turkey ,they transfer the file over to Turkey to process it. But they could not answer how do they transfer the file ?Do they transfer online ?How long it takes?
If anyone has the same situation ,please share all the information you have. Because I keep calling CIC to speak with different agents ,because some agents they have really knowledge ,some not.
Thanks

Hi Argen,
As per my knowledge, the call center people will have not much knowledge some times depending on the person whom you speak. If you are submitted online along with your husband, CIC will access all over the world and assign that token to the person who is on FCFS basis. Dont worry it will be completed soon.

I have a question for you. Recently I have applied online spouse open work permit from within canada(IMM1295 from outside canada). Can you tell me how long will it take to process it as you have applied online. Thanks for your reply!!

Hi Kalpan ,

I applied on December 17th and I received on January 7th.It was really fast, if you consider the holiday season. Around 15 business days, I guess .

Thanks
