Is there any difference in processing time for online applications vs paper applications? I applied a single application via paper because based on the canada.ca website in order to "Apply Online" you have to apply:
However, I am seeing a lot of single applications online so I must have misunderstood this and applied by paper. I applied on OCT 30th and got my AOR/tracker account on November 19th, but my tracker was last updated Nov 21. Some of the October applicants are already receiving test invites meanwhile everything for me is still "In progress" and no changes since AOR. I am just curious if paper applications move at different rate vs online based on previous tracking data.

Thanks

Single applicant were the first one allowed to apply online. Same is mentioned here - https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/landing

Online is comparatively faster to paper these days.

Roughly how much faster? I see some online applicants getting test invite 2 months from date submitted. in paper applications what's this range?
The processing time can vary significantly depending on the processing office and the officer handling the case. However, 7 months is relatively quick compared to previous processing times for citizenship.
You need not worry.

No, 7 months is processing time for citizenship application(IRCC officially does not differentiate between online and paper). But people are getting citizenship in 3-4 months.
