Hi

My wife has about 20 days left before she is required to leave Canada (as per the 6 month only rule for visitors).

I'm intending on applying to extend the visa by applying online but I had a few questions:

for those that have actually done the online process, did you need to provide any banking info or "financial proof"? I asked a friend of mine who did his extension recently and he told me he didn't have to do anything..but I'm not sure if this is true or not. Plz advise!

Further, the processing time for the extension is fairly high (I believe 84 days?) and so during that time, her original status obviously expires. Does she have to leave the country while the application is processing?

In getting an extension, how many months does CIC usually give?

Plz help! thank you!

There is no such thing as a "visitor visa", you are asking on how to "extend visitor status"

No, yo do not need to, but it is usually the most efficient and simple way to prove you have money.

No. She would be on implied status.

Hey I have a question as well, can you tell me which forms did you fill for the online application to extend the stay? Also the processing time is 38 days for online application I guess.
