Online Visa Extension

Hi,
It's been 5 months, my mother is in Canada. She already has a multiple visa for 10 years. I applied for the extension of visitor visa yesterday.
How long it takes for the online application to get the result? How is the possibility of extend visa?
I am waiting for response.

1. 55 days paper, 15 days on line.
2. If she requires a medical, they request one before giving a long extension.

I had a question about visitor stay extension. My aunt has got an extension of her 6 month stay period until May 2015. She only requested extension for 2 months but they gave her one year extension.She already has a multiple entry visa until 2016 on her passport, but her temporary extension letter says that "This does not authorize re-entry"
I will really appreciate if someone can guide me that if she decides to go back in 2 months but wants to come back in Jan. 2015, will she be allowed back or does she have to wait for May 2015 when her visa extension time expires.

No, as you say she has a Multiple entry TRV, then she can come back any time after she has left, assuming she meet all the visitor requirement. A visitor permit expires, once you leave Canada.
