online status

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to check status online. In the cic website, there is an option to "check application status". I put immigration file number, dob, place of birth, and where it asks to put surname or family name I have to put a dot (.) because I do not use surname and my passport also has a dot (.) as surname....I do not get any information....

can anyone help me on this?

Ya you are on the right link. In Surname, don't put dot, try and put first name or middle name and i hope it works out.
