Hi,
I have completed my Masters' in Comp Sci in Canada with a good GPA and working on a PGWP with a reputed Canadian Company for the past 1.5 months. I have a good pay. I got married in Feb. My husband applied for a TRV in July. The first time we provided the following docs:
My invi letter, Financial support letter from me
my finances - offer letter, bank statements
rental agreement(mine)
a good sop on his part
proof of his emp (good pay p.a., work exp of over 5 years)- pay slips, original offer letter, etc.
travel history - he has worked in Kuwait and Dubai, proof by visa stamps and entry stamps to India.
His visa was rejected for the following reasons
1.family ties
2. purpose of visit
3. financial status
Due to the above reasons we applied again in Aug with the following additional docs
family ties- letter from his father giving assurance of his return, ancestral property evaluation docs for him and me.
purpose of visit- changed to tourist
finance:
amount in his account (his average balance above 2L for past 6 months)
amount in his father's accnt(avg bal above 2L for past 6 months)
more amount in my account, pay slips from my side, hr letter proving i work in that company
letter from auditor evaluating land and gold
amount over 10k CAD.
We had a good cover letter listing reasons for rejection on first go and added docs in the second go for each reason
We received a refusal letter again with following reasons
1. family ties
2. length of stay (same as earlier application, duration of my work permit, till 2016)
3. his employment situation (we provided letter from manager stating he works there, his company's merits, his role, yearly income, etc. along with pay slips, tax forms for past 2 years, provident fund statement showing current balance over 1.5L).
4. insufficient finance to support himself in Canada, depart to and from Canada
5. Insufficient documents to prove you/ your hosts assets and income.
We provided everything VO could imagine of asking but still rejected asking for the docs submitted.
Is there a chance of approval if we apply in paper format third time. Is there a chance VO wud look through all docs?
Please help!!!!

jayadreams, I'm very sorry for what happened to you. I think the issue here is that whatever proof you submit to show your husband will return to home country is over shadowed by the fact that his wife lives and works in Canada.

When your husband applied online in August, how long did it take to get the decision?

Well. But people do seem to receive TRV for their spouses. It frustrates me. Why discrimination in some cases and none in others?
We applied on aug 16. received reply on aug 20.

Again, I'm sorry this is happening to you. If you make decent salary, it may be good idea to hire an immigration lawyer. The firm which provides this forum may be able to help you. Contact them and see if you can afford them.

I'm surprised that it only took 4 days to process your application. Did you receive the decision in an email? Also, do you know where your application was processed?

we applied online so got an email telling there's a new message in the cic application. The refusal letter says its from new Delhi. The quick decision is the reason I m even more sure not all documents were properly reviewed.

Recently there was a story on the newspaper about the parents of India-born Canadian citizen man who has been serving the Canadian military applied for TRV for his parents to visit his very sick child but the TRV was denied. This is a man who has been in war zone and fought for Canada. He has been in the military for 10 years. He was deployed twice to war zone areas. You can read the story on the Internet. Sadly there are too many TRV rejections specially at that particular embassy in India.

Can you imagine fighting for Canada in war and your parents being denied TRV to visit your sick child in Canada? He even sent proof from doctors saying the son was very sick and the military sent letters to the embassy on his behalf and none of that helped.
