I am an American citizen thinking of spending a few months in Ontario either late this year or early next year. I know that you cannot work in Canada while on a visitor's visa, but would this restrict me from doing some online freelancing work while I was there too? I would like to generate some form of income while I'm there but I'm not sure if it's allowed. If the answer is yes, it is okay, would that money only be taxable by the U.S., or would I have to pay Canadian taxes too since I would be making the money while I was technically in Canada? Any and all information is appreciated. Thank you!
