Online BOWP error message, please advise

I filled out IMM 5710 form and when Im trying to upload on my CIC open work permit application I got this message:

"Validation error: You have not completed the mandatory fields or you have not completed them correctly. Please make corrections where indicated.
Error Description:
Your status expiry date in the answer you provided previously does not correspond to the Restoration in your form. Modify your answers or the value in your form"

Ive checked and the dates are the same on the questions of eligilibity and on the form as well.

Any idea? Thanks a lot

Make sure the date of restoration of status is same as the date your visa expired/expires. You provided status expiry date in another form looks like, and date you want your visa restored in IMM 5710 is different from that date.

I gave wrong answer to Q3. I have choosen 2 answers and it should have been only one. I think I went with a new workpermit with a new employer at the end.

we had very similar problems. same message about restoration. My wife has a work permit. Then we got a new passport since the old was expiring. the work permit was expiring the same day. So we were trying to extend the work permit. At the very top of the form in the first section, right below the UCI number is item 3 " I am applying for one or more of the following" our mistake was to check "restore my status as a worker" which then forced us to also pick a second choice. The solution after much swearing was to choose "apply for a work permit for the first time or with a new employer" This let us upload! I am sure the government thinks there forms are dummy proof, but they suck! you get an error message with no idea what "restoration date" is! They give you no clue what to put in section 3 at the top. Nobody to call, nobody to ask. I hope this helps someone
