Online Application Urgent Help Needed!

Hello all,


I have applied for a temporary visitor visa, through an online application, on the 7th of March (submitting all the documents at once).
Since I was not sure at that moment if I should send in my original documents to Bucarest, (I am on a Bulgarian passport) I have e-mailed the embassy, who responded the next day, saying that the processing will take 10 working days. It has been 12, and I intend to fly to Montreal on the 30th of March since my intensive short diploma course starts on the 2nd of April. I am extremely worried and am not sure what to do, perhaps someone had an experience with such circumstances and could shed some light, or give some guidance.

Are you in Canada now? if yes, you dont need a visa to travel within canada.
If you're in your country then email them again and ask them about your visa and that it is past the processing time. Maybe they sent it out already and it might be on the way to you. processing times do not include the mailing time.

I am currently in Cyprus, I have applied online and they said that they will communicate their decision and further instructions via e-mail.
I think I will send them an e-mail either way, just to find out if there is any progress or any problems.

sorry to do that, but I am well stressed and worried, I have e-mailed Bucharest (which I assume is the center that deals with my online application) the day before yesterday, but haven't heard anything. 2nd of April coming up soon and I have no clue as to what is going on, even considering perhaps going over to Bucharest myself to visit the embassy?

If anyone could spare some advise, I'd really appreciate it.

Even I am in the same situation. Although the CIC website says online application has the best turn around time but apparently it is not. I stay in Los Angeles and applied online. I haven't received any communication since last two weeks. When I emailed Los Angeles consulate they asked me to contact Ottawa consulate which deals with all the online applications world-wide.
