Advice Request from Experts and students who experienced the same.

I got my TRV stamped with Letter of Introduction received last week. The TRV is Valid from 01st October 2015 to 30th November 2017( 2 years)

The University program actual start date is on 8th September 2015 to August 2017 ( 2 Years) and as there was a delay in visa issuance the university deferred my admission to the next year (i.e.) 6th September 2016.I now have my new admission letter deferred for next year.

Can I travel with same TRV in next year and show the deferral admission letter at POE? or do I need to take new TRV again from the embassy? Also advise me on how should I inform CIC on the same.

Note : There is no deadline mentioned to enter in Canada in my Letter of Introduction, Just the Validity is till November 2017.

I wish (only and only) experts reply to this thread or some other students who experienced the same of one year Deferral.

You just need to show the new admission letter at the POE. But to make things smoother, make sure to notify CHC in your country about your delayed arrival, get a reply and take that printout with you.

Also do bring your original admission letter with you when you enter, as well as any correspondence with your university which indicates why they deferred you. That way you can prove that your visa was issued later than your classes.

I had also deferred my admission (in 2013 Fall) to the next year ( to 2014 Fall), and CHC in my country told me to show the new admission letter at the POE.

Just to be sure: write your query here: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
enter all details and they will reply you in a week.

Hi Prince,

Thank you for the reply.

What was the reply that you received from the embassy when you send them an email informing that you got deferred?

Kindly Reply.

I don't know exactly but I believe I read it somewhere that. If you don't visit canada within 3months after your study permit is issued. The visa automatically gets cancelled . You need to apply for a new permit. Having said you check with an canadian visa expert within your country or try to contact some immigration law firm in canada for your answer
