Hello, I want to invite my adult son to come for a visit here in Canada, he never been to other country before, will this affect his application? its not one of the requirement eh?
I read postings here that they been refused because they have not travel before... any input pls. Thank you very much.

What nationality passport would he travel on?

No, it is not one of the requirement. My mother in law had never been out of her country, until recently she went to Canada and later the US.

my son is in the Philippines ... this will be his first time to apply for TRV after being denied as my dependent son in year 2007....

Why was he denied as your dependent? The could cause him issues with his TRV application as well

The rest he applies like a regular applicant and has to meet the same criteria

he was denied before because he does not meet the definition of a dependent son anymore during that time...

I don't think that TRV and family sponsorship (dependent child) has the same criteria... very different...
