Hello, We just landed in Canada on company sponsored workpermit and my spouse has open work permit too. Now, employer is seeking one year wait time to process our PR. But, we want to apply PR on our own. I understand the points system and application, but my questions are:
1. Since I'm on a job now, can I get the 600 points? does my employer need to certify something in this case? or only my employment offer and monthly paystubs should do the work?
2. Can I quote the LMIA that my employer already processed for me?
3. And, I dont need to show any financial support since I am on the job, right?

Any directions are highly appreciated as we are confused on how to go about PR processing from Canada.

Create express entry profile and enter in pool. Since you have lmia, so you are almost certain of getting ITA.

Hi, yes since I have LMIA the points are high in CSR. But, if I apply PR on my own, will my company allow me to attach that LMIA to my application? right now, my employer is seeking a wait period of 6-8 months to even start PR application from their end. is it wise to wait till their attorney process our application or do it on our own?
why the hurry is, my spouse isnt getting a job in open work permit since it is not attached with a NOC yet. and being a PR is definitely loads better than in work permit.

Hello, yes my NOC is of category A. :)
