I sent my application for proof of citizenship on June 12th and according to Canada Post was received by CIC on June 15th. I have not yet received a letter of Acknowledgment and I have been trying to find out something on-line through the Client Application Status tool using the Payment of Fees Receipt Number. Nothing comes out. Can you share any similar experience?

Hi Mature,
CIC send out the AoR via email around 2-3 months out. Once your application is received by CIC you have to wait until you see the email at which it means they have done a preliminary review of all documents provided and your application is considered good to be accepted, once you get AoR email it takes anywhere between 3 to 5 days for the ECAS (online tool) to be active form which point you can log in using your Client ID to check it's status online.
