Hey guys,

Currently I'm working at a cafe off campus 16 hours/week. However they also have 2 cafe on campus that I could pick up an extra shift (extra 8 hours) if I want to so that will be a total of 24 hours. From my understanding, the cafe that is inside the campus can be considered as on-campus job (is this correct?), however how can I prove later on that I work at both locations considering that it is the same employer and the employer address is outside of campus? Also is it possible to do this or not or it is better for me to just do not take on the on campus shift because it could influence my future work permit.

Thank you.

I think their jop codes or specifications must be different for one on and off campus. If so it won't be a problem. But if their description labels are same on the receipt of wage payments it will possibly be a problem since you seem as if you excess the 20-workhour limit

Unfortunately the wage payment only state the hour and not location, only the employer address is shown. I can keep record of the scheduling through the app though but I think it is safer for me to not go for it. Not worth the risk.

I think so. Just try to find new jobs at your school like teaching assistant, library worker, or administrative offices like a bell boy? to complete on-campus workhours

If you can ask your employer to transfer you to the campus site that would be better. 2-fold advantage: both school and work are on same site (less stress because there is no commute time) and you can work more than 20hrs per week.

I worked for Tim Hortons under Aramark on campus while studying. My ROE and ITA showed the campus address while corporate address is Toronto. Average 15hrs per week, no more than 18 at any given week. Reason is, I was also a peer tutor employed by my college.
