Hello,

I recently got OINP Nomination. And I have received ITA. Now uploading documents.

Problem is that I submitted work reference letter copy to OINP last year (OINP took a year for nomination). So my reference letter is a year old. I am still at same company but my relationship with my boss has deteriorated to the point that I am expecting to lose this job very soon. Among other things, he assumed that I asked for letter because I was looking for jobs outside. At this point I don't think he will give me an updated reference letter (the only change will be one more year of same work and salary). If I get termination letter then I can try requesting experience letter again but doing it now will make situation worse.

My old reference letter still gives me enough points to be eligible and I don't want to stir the pot right now at current company.

I have provided latest pay stubs though.

What should I do?

If you submit the old letter and an explanation in the LoE stating what you've said here you MAY get away with it (if you do this then submit the most recent pay slips to prove you're still employed). But it's much safer to get a newer letter for you current job and if you're expecting to be made redundant at any moment then you must weigh the risks, what's better, hanging on to a doomed job or more security in your PR application?
