old police clearance

Hi,

I was checking my final prepared application when I noticed that the police clearance was issued in March 09. Now I came to know that it is only valid for 3 months.

I will request for a new new but should I send the application to Mississauga anyways and then later send the police clearance certificate which should be ready in 2 weeks?

Does Mississauga check the police certificate or the Visa office abroad?

Yeah this is why the police certificate is best to get last.. people dont realise how long it takes to get everything together I would suggest sending it as is IF you cant get one fast enough, and make a request for another one and if you receive it before Mississauga approves you then send it there, if not then send it to your visa office once you receive a file number from them. If you can get one fast enough just wait it out and send all together.

It's actually valid for 6 months - but you're supposed to submit it before it's 3 months old. You're close, so if you're ready to send in your application, go ahead and send it. Mine was actually 7 months old when I submitted it, but I hadn't been home to commit any crimes since it was done, so they let it through. It kinda depends on the circumstances - they always have the option to ask you to get an updated one if they need it.
