I have a reference letter from my previous employer (immediate boss) which was issued 2 years ago. He changed his job after that.
Can this letter be a valid proof of employment?

Yes it is good enough. Just need his contact # on the letter or write it separately in a letter of explanation.

Business card is not a must as long as the letter has his contact #. Otherwise write separately his contact details in a letter of explanation.
