Okay to spend 3 weeks outside Canada if sponsorship is in progress?

Is it okay to spend 3 weeks outside Canada if the spousal sponsorship is in progress? Ircc hasn't mentioned any such time span but I heard that i shouldn't be outside for "long" time if spousal sponsorship is in progress. Is there any set guideline for this?

While there's no clear guideline, it seems less than a month is unlikely to be an issue.
