OINP waiting on ITA but permit will expire soon

Hi All,

We just received our Ontario nomination and waiting for the next draw. PR application takes a long time and our Student and OWP visas will expire by March 31, 2024. Studies will end by Aug 2024 so we can extend our visas.

Do we need to apply for extension of SP and OWP while waiting on PR application results?
Are there other options aside from this?

What happens to OHIP? when our visas expire but have pending applications.

we did not receive an invitation yet. no draw today. not sure what category it will be but our OINP was FSW.
