I received PT of interest from Ontario. Regarding the settlement of funds statement, can I provide a 6 months statement for a current account given that the average balance of the 6months is more than $12,000 (USD).

Along with the 6 months statement, get a letter from bank that mentions your name, date of account opening, and the current balance.
