Hi all,

I got my PT notification of interest from OINP two weeks before. My husband is working on Closed Work Permit in Ontario for the past two years, his WP is valid till January 2017. I am on Open Work Permit, but unemployed.

We applied for Express entry last month, with me as the principal applicant, because, my husband's CELPIP score was not enough to enter the pool. I got qualified under FSWP category (I have over 2 years of work experience back home).

So, my question is, can I show my husband's salary as Proof of Funds (we have joint acct in td), since we are already living here in Canada for the past 2 years? Or, do I have to show $15,000 as POF? Please help

You can show these funds as they are owned jointly. Make sure to attach a declaration from your husband specifying he has no concerns in using these funds for POF requirement. Please check for revised POF requirement per your family size on CIC. Good luck!!

Hi Ppahuja,

Thank you for your help :)

I think you misunderstood my question. I am asking, whether I can just show my husband's salary proof and bank statements as POF, because we don't have over $15,000 in our joint account at present. Is it mandatory to show $15,000, as we have already established our livelihood in Canada, and managing the expenses pretty well with my husband's monthly salary? Thank you..

If you read the application guide, then it is mentioned that those already working in Ontario would not require to show POF. You can reconfirm it.
