OINP PR crossed 6 months application processing time

Hi Guys,

I was hoping you could help me with my OINP PR application with details as below :

Date of online application transmission : Aug 25, 2016
AOR : Aug 25, 2016
Additional form submitted : Sep 2, 2016

As per the application processing timelines, my application is past the 6 months deadline and here is the status on CIC :

Application/profile status : Open
Review of eligibility : Review in Progress
Review of medical results : Passed
Review of submitted documents : Provided
Scheduling an interview : Not needed at this time
A background check is needed : In Progress
Final decision : Not Started

Could you guys please tell me whats going on? And what could have caused the delay.

I am really worried.

actually BG check in progress usually means PPR is around the corner... how long has it been stuck at this stage ?

I got a PPR yesterday and need to submit the RPRF now. They have requested the passports and hopefully all should be good now.

What are the chances it will get approved? Any timelines for passport stamping?

The total application processing time is about 16 months from your package delivery date. You can do the math.
