From other forums, I think ON has put a hold on their NOI for quite a while now (since Feb. I think). I will suggest you do not recreate a new profile yet because of what I just mentioned.CBTSHARE said:Hello all,
I have a score of 468, PGWP expires in 2 mths, I'm not sure ITA will be issued for PR application, my question is how do I apply for OINP at the same time within my EE profile, or do I have to cancel one and then apply for OINP?
Yes, thank you I know I can apply for a BOWP, but I would have to get an ITA first right? Or what is an AOR( I guess this is a positive statement saying you applied for PR and have a good chance of getting it) but how do I get this?BA2LAMAZ said:From other forums, I think ON has put a hold on their NOI for quite a while now (since Feb. Since you have about 2 months left (expires in May i presume), hang in there for at least two more draws. You stand a pretty good chance to receive an ITA because of your score.
You can also apply for a Bridge Open Work Permit (BOWP) if you have received an AOR for your EE application.
Exactly, if you didn't get ITA or you couldn't finish your PR application and get AOR, at least you can stay as visitor trying to finish your PR application. You won't be able to work so you'll need some savings (also for visitor application).CBTSHARE said:@Gregor.Samsa
Thank you for your reply, but how would this help? Because I am also working, so my work permit would expire too, and I would have to quit my job, but I guess you mean it would help because I get to atleast stay in the country till the ITA comes?
Ok, thank you for your reply, regarding your tips, I am not sure what ECA means, and I got 8 on the English test and dont speak french. My employer is also willing to do an LMIA for me as well, but the forms are so long they said make sure that this is the correct process, so I reviewed my EE profile and increased my score by adding all my foreign work experience. So since I have until the end of May you suggest waiting 1 or 2 more draws? then try to get my employer to apply for LMIA or apply for the visitors visa now?Gregor.Samsa said:Exactly, if you didn't get ITA or you couldn't finish your PR application and get AOR, at least you can stay as visitor trying to finish your PR application. Please note than AOR is not enough to apply for a BOWP, because now is requested to have Eligibility passed. With current BOWP long processing times could be possible to get Eligibility passed when VO opens your BOWP application (It's even possible to get PR before BOWP).
Some tips:
Try to improve your score (ECA, english and French tests. ..)
It doesn't hurt look for a new job with LMIA, could be not easy but if you're lucky you'll get a new WP and 600 additional points for EE. (Perhaps a NOC C job could no help, better check CIC EE info)
If Ontario is On Hold, EE is your best chance currently
ECA means Education Assessment, see below.CBTSHARE said:Ok, thank you for your reply, regarding your tips, I am not sure what ECA means, and I got 8 on the English test and dont speak french. My employer is also willing to do an LMIA for me as well, but the forms are so long they said make sure that this is the correct process, so I reviewed my EE profile and increased my score by adding all my foreign work experience. So since I have until the end of May you suggest waiting 1 or 2 more draws? then try to get my employer to apply for LMIA or apply for the visitors visa now?
thank you for your reply @DigitalDestiny

It's a way to certificate your foreign education to get more points.
In your profile you should only show work experince you have Reference Letters about it. If you don't have it, you have to remove it from your application, losing points than could get a application cancelation.
You have time before apply for visitor visa, just do it as last option befire your WP expires.
You can wait 1-2 draws and see what happens, but you don't have too much time.
LMIA process needs time, if the company start it right now most probably you won't get the new WP before your current WP expires, in the best scenario you could apply for new WP before expiration and stay working on implied status.
I don't know how feasible is the LMIA for your employer but should be the best chance for you to still working and guarantee PR.
You can get PR with your score, but the main issue is your WP expiration date.
If you can't get Employer Reference Letter you cannot use to claim points in your EE profile, however you have to include it in your personal history in the PR application anyways.CBTSHARE said:Ok, thank you , I actually didn't know about the references, that's a new one to me, I left my home country 9 years ago, it'll be hard for me to track down one of the companies as I think its closed, but will see if I need to...I have a bunch of international certifications from microsoft, CISCO and Redhat, they are not diplomas, or fall under any structured period of study, you can study on your own and do them, can I get an ECA for them?
thank you
