OINP Foreign Work Experience remotely

Hey All,

I have been thinking about applying for OINP under the Foreign worker stream, but I have a question. Part of my experience was earned remotely; meaning that I worked for a company in my home country while being in Canada as an International student. It was the same NOC as my current job which I have had for 5 months already and I guess it could count as work experience as well. My question is, Is my remote Foreign work experience going to be counted as foreign work experience? Taking into consideration that I was in Canada while working for this company, Do they acknowledge this time? Has anybody been in my position?

From what I know if you are studying here in Canada and working. That work experience is not counted for EE

However if you were studying outside of Canada and working as well in parallel it will be counted as a work experience
