Hello everyone,

Recently, I have come to know that there are chances of OINP cut off score getting increased to 450 for 2017 quota. Does anyone know how true is this ? I am sitting at 444 and OINP nomination is my only hope :(

Thanks in advance!!

These are the roumors and nothing more, but I am sorry to say that anything is below 450 is not as good as above 450, I would suggest you to increase your score by atleast 6 points and have genuine chance of getting ITA :)

Thanks for your reply. I do have a margin of getting 8 points by evaluating my wife's education through WES. So will probably register with WES first thing tomorrow morning. I hope I get the report before Ontario stops the nominations :)

There is a chance. However, as pointed out above - its only speculations now.

Not sure why everybody is talking about the score required being raised from 400 straightaway to 450. It could also be 430 or 440. I think Ontario would not want to raise it to a level where people do not have to go for PNP and get ITA directly from CIC, taking into consideration the lowest EE scores till date.

You make all sense bud. Provided they are going to increase their score this time around, 425 or 430 seems more legit to me.. 450 is just too high, considering the fact that EE score is expected to decrease in the coming months....

I'm of the understanding that in order to get OINP nomination, firstly you need to be in the Express entry pool with more than 400 points and secondly you must have selected Ontario as your option when the system asks you about which provinces you would like to stay when you're making your Express Entry profile.

The thing is, I can't remember if I clicked on Ontario or not. Is there a way to check my selections of provinces now? I'm already in the pool with 473 points.

You don't have to worry about it for now, they're all rumors.

It's a moot point for now- OINP is closed until November.

Yes I know about that, but it's a relevant point starting in November. If I could know that I hadn't clicked on Ontario, I would withdraw my profile right now and create a fresh one.

For Express Entry, you can change almost any of the details you provided. Log in to the website, and then at the bottom you can see your submitted profile. On the right, click on check status and messages. This will allow you to change your EE details.

Just remember if you make changes, it takes a couple of days for CIC to make the change so dont do it just before a draw.

i'm sure there is a option to change that in the EE tool, i created a profile for my brother recently and i'm sure there was an option to change it...

Instead of just clicking on Ontario, why dont you click on all provinces one ? Why limit yourself to just 1-2 provinces ?

I read on another forum that you have to select Ontario and nothing else for a PNP nomination, and not 'all provinces and territories'. I have no idea if this is true (doesn't make sense to me) but i felt it was safer to select Ontario only, and nothing else.

Can anyone confirm if they've received a nomination having selected more than just Ontario?

I can't see anywhere the list of provinces that I ticked. I guess you can't see or change them now once the profile is submitted. However, I do think I ticked Ontario, just not 100% sure.
