OINP Application Background Check

I have sent my OINP application to Ontario on 17th March 2016. One of my companies denied to issue me a roles and responsibilities letter as it is against the HR policy. Given the scenario, I got in touch with one of my colleagues from my previous company and he agreed to give it to me on a plain paper with his signature and later on I got this notarised.

Today, I got a call from my ex colleague and he informed me that he received a background check call from an Indian number and they asked him who was his reporting manager. Just wanted to check with people who have gone through the OINP process if the background check happened so early (within 20 days of sending the application) and does it happen from India.

Please advice guys.

never heard of it before. India they always fool others on 1st April as it is April fool day. your friend has played mischief.

Uusually background checks are carried out by CIC, not by State authorities..

and these sounds more like employment check, rather than background check... very unusual.

Hey no no.. He told this to me today and today is not 1st April.. Its more of an employment check but to be honest I also feel its too early.. I have not even got AOR as of now.

What I have heard is - Canadian Embassy in New Delhi has outsourced background check to third party agencies. These are the same agencies like those who conduct background check when you join top Indian companies.

So may be they might be conducting your background check.

and dint u hear that Canada has outsourced the entire PR process to Indian Govt?

But they got my application on 21st March and till now I have not even got AOR.

My 6 months going to be end up in 2016August 19
Still I didn't get my PPR
My problem is ..it's all most 6 months now but no answer from CIC ! Is Express entry take more than 6 months now??? Plz some one give me a answer... It's so hard to wait!!
