Question: does OINP assign any internal user/application identifier, after registration, or do they use Express Entry id's (EExxxxxxxxx) for applicant tracking purposes?

They will give you an applicant number after you have submitted you application. This application number you can use to contact OINP about the status of your application.

Thanks, but I assume they will give me an applicant number after the initial online registration, not after the final document submission, correct?

If you are pertaining about onekey account, then no. The only time they will give an applicant number is when you have submitted your application.

No. You get the application number once you have registered to the stream you are applying to, not after submission.
