Hello...for proof-of-funds, we have enough but under my wife's name, and the bank is not a local one. In the guide, under the proof-of-funds section, they mention about this case, that my wife can prepare a letter declaring that i have access to her funds. This is their statement "If you provide bank statements in your spouse or common-law partner’s name, you must include a letter from the financial institution and/or your spouse or common-law partner indicating that you have access to these funds."

My question to this group is: Has anyone of you a model or sample of this letter?

Thank you in advance.

PS. Get the letter from the bank would be almost impossible, because we are not living there, and the banks in my country are nasty and slow.

We figured this out. The bank issued a letter with the banking information of my wife's accounts, and we added a letter signed by her to OINP stating that she will allow those funds to be used for our settlement as a family. ONIP accepted ok this letter.

HI, it would really help if you can share the content of the letter sent to Ontario. I am in the same boat as well and looking for options. Did you do a affidavit as well ?
