OHIP & Implied Status

Hey,

Still unclear on how to get OHIP extend while on implied status! Is there anyone who have gone through this? If you apply to renew work permit or apply for BOWP, can you still get OHIP while waiting for decision?
Any inputs would be appreciated it.

no, you can't get OHIP while on implied status. As soon as you get your new WP just go to Service Ontario to renew OHIP. Don't forget to take Bank Statement with your address as address on your work permit is not one listed in their user's manual . Been through this last year. Lady didn't believe me, I received my new WP via mail and told me to bring Bank Statement for example. I did it and another lady just took a look at my WP and asked if address is the same. I confirmed and she did her stuff without checking BANK STATEMENT!!!! I was so upset ... but it's Canada. Last place where communism still exists :LOL
