Hi, will officers also stepfoot into the quarantine place to see if we're actually there? Or are they just calling?

You are tracked through the ArriveCan app. However, they can certainly show up but unlikely.

They might show up on the address your provided on the ArriveCan app - but it is unlikely because they usually just call to see if everything is ok. You are not 'tracked' via the ArriveCan app since it doesn't use the GPS in your phone, they rely on the address provided to know where you are.

We don't know if there will be more at home checks after February 22. If there are less travelers it would be more possible.

They have been known to do spot checks. There are plenty of examples online of this.
On Feb 22nd they are going to start subcontracting the security to companies who have every interest in charging hours to the government and keeping their staff busy.
