Offer of employment

Hey everyone,

I need some guidance in the documents upload section.

I have held two jobs in Canada. The first one being the one I have 1 year experience of and is contributing to my CRS score.

I just switched jobs in February, 2018 and it is permanent, full time.

Now the question is under Offer of Employment, which offer should I upload? The recent one that I just started in February, the previous one that I claimed work experience in or both together as a single PDF?

What kind of work permit do you have? Do you actually have a valid job offer?

I have a Post graduate open work permit. Yes I am already working in the new company and I am providing the employment records for that.

Just need to know which job offer letter to upload in the offer of employment since I have two.

No, what you need to know is that you cannot have a valid job offer while working on a PGWP.

Correct the very first question on the intended work section and the placeholders for "offer of employment" and "letter of employment" will disappear.

Under Intended Work in Canada:

Does ------ have a job offer in Canada?

The offer must:

• be for full-time and for at least one year
• meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
• be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers

(required)



Here should I be putting No ? But in my pre ITA application, I put in Yes. Would that change anything?

It doesn't change anything as long as you didn't claim the 50/200 points given for a valid job offer.

Yea, my points are not being affected at all by putting in as No. They are still the same.

Another question, so I have to upload employment records for both of my jobs. I have just added my job reference letter, paystubs and T4. Should I be adding my job offer contract to it too? Since I haven't uploaded them anywhere.

You can add those but they are not mandatory.

Another question, I have resided in two countries and have the PCC from them both. However as you would know, there is no section to upload the Canadian Criminal Record check through RCMP. Where should I upload that?

Attached, with one of the PCCs or upload it in "Other Documents" ?

It'd include it in the LOE placeholder along with a short explanation stating that you're uploading it upfront to avoid potential delays with your application.

A valid job offer is not your present ongoing full-time/part-time job on PGWP. It means a job where your employer should be ready to employee you for next 1 yr after you get your PR.

All my friends who have applied until last month, wrote Yes under that and uploaded their job offer contracts from their current employers in the Offer of Employment section. They did not get any request for additional docs.

I chose Yes, for pre ITA but changed that to No in my permanent residency application, even when I got the ITA, they hadn't count any points for the offer of employment.
