so i'm just preparing my 2015 income tax return and i'm wondering if anyone can advise me:
i am married and both my husband and i have full-time employment with decent salaries. we have just finished our outland application - so my husband was in the UK for the entirety of 2015. my income paid for my home and his income paid for his home, and ne'er the twain did meet through the entire year. i know, because i'm married, that i need to state his global income on my return, but that then affects the rest of my return. is there a way of indicating that, as much as we were married for the tax year, his income did not enter my household or benefit anyone in it?
