Does anybody know that Canadian citizenship October 31 2011 test for Calgary has declared or not yet?
I did not receive any information. How long will it take ?

What do you mean by "declared"? Are you referring to the results of the test?
When I did the test (Novemeber in Ontario) they said it should take between 2-3 months before we get an invitation to the oath.

Did you give test in Nov 2011,,,,or last year. I gave test in Oct 2011 and i haven't heared back from them. My PR is expired today. You know how long will take ,,i was thinking if someone fail then it takes 2-3 months for interview call..otherwise who pass they get result withing 2-3 weeks. am i right?

Hi dhillon22,

I took the test it in 2010. The CIC officers specifically said that <b>the results will not be disclosed</b> and that in 2-3 <b>months</b> (not weeks) we should expect either an invitation to an oath (if we passed) or the RQ (Resident Questionnaire) in order to see a judge (which doesn't necessarily mean you failed the test).

Check the link below: it describes the long waiting time in Calgary for the oath. So this isn't necessarily about you failing the test - it could be just a huge backlog...

In any case, you can call the CIC number and ask them what the status of the applciation.

Thanks for reply Amirchov, but from 2010 till today did you get citizenship? if yes when did you hear from CIC ,,like how long it took? Secondly, pass the test for me is to get letter of invitation for oath and fail means appearing for interview..so how long i should wait for passing(invitation for oath) if i will not get that i prepare myself for interview(with judge). I gave test in oct 2011...i heared it takes week to get invitation for oath..

No, I received the RQ (Resident Questionnaire) after the interview and before doing the test, so I am in the long waiting line up...
According to the link I posted, it seems it takes months to get the oath invitation.
I think the best solution for you is to call them and see what the status is.

I got invitation for test after year to write test Oct 17 at mississauga..

I wrote it and after that i haven't heared back...!!!!!

What about resident quessionair...when did you get it before test ...
and when did you write test...

Which of the test questions did you study and which was helpful? was the test complicated or easy? I will appreciate a response. Did they ask question about the province you live i.e your MP etc?

Hi everyone,

I see comments of people scheduled to take test at the end of December 2011 in Calgary. Can you please share your time line and when you received your letter advising you of the test date? I recently moved to a new address in Calgary and have called CIC to chnage address - it does show up as updated online however we all know what canada post is like..... I need to make sure I am getting my mail on time and at the correct address. My status online shows my file was sent to the CIC Calgary office November 14th but I havent heard anything yet. My timeline is as follows:

App Sent: Jan ,2011
Application Received: Jan 21, 2011 (Also acknowlagment sent that day)
File Transferred to Calgary: Nov, 14 2011

Check out this website for practice - I am told that these are verry similar to the questions you will see on the test.

Hi all,

I do apologize for not replying sooner - life has been busy. I received a letter for test and ceremony on the same day! My test was scheduled for January 10th at 10:30am and citizenship ceremony January 10th at 1:30pm.

How has everyone else been - have you had your test and ceremony yet?
