I would contact your Member of Parliament... they can submit a special inquiry providing the one submitted by the call centre has expired and they can sometimes get you answers or get your application moving again...

As in my MLA?

Your MP.

The person who won the ridding during the last federal election :)

You can email them or contact their office by phone....

So with mine, they never sent an inquiry because the agent said that even though I got a notification for AOR on Feb 4th, my 'envelope' was opened on Feb 7th and it's in processing. So until 1 month has passed starting from Feb 7th, they can't launch an official query.

I even sent an email to case specific and they only emailed me yesterday to say 'we are verifying that your case is in processing'. Thanks - like I didn't know that ???

Its very frustrating... they got back to me at the 4th week ... and things seem to be on track now

You shouldn't worry. For some people it's faster than the others, and as we all know the overall time is 17 months.
LOng wait, but by calling them and pestering them you will not speed it up unless it's overdue

And I would agree with you if my complaint to them was about the 17 month wait...

My application was past due for my AOR not the entire application process.... if your website says 63 days for the sponsor approval and we are beyond that time frame I am within my right to inquire about the hold up and why you haven't even acknowledged the receipt of my application.

Call! No harm in 'just checking in'. I can say that because I'm due to SA and it's been overdue and I need to check in with them to ensure if there are any issues, I can react to it sooner rather than waiting. Call girl call!

Already did that lol... my application is now at the visa office.... fingers crossed my husband is approved this year...

I just saw someone on this thread struggling to get a resolution so I was dropping my two cents on ways they could get assistance since I have also dealt with that same struggle!

We are all in this together!

Our application went in process a few days before getting AOR2, in fact at every stage of our application ECAS updated before we got any communication from them. I wouldn't worry, they're working on your application now :)

From our November group I believe only 1 of 7 Manila applicants got an actual AOR2 email. I wouldn't worry about it.

So I emailed my MP, the premier and John Mccallum a very lengthy letter this morning. My MP called me about 5 mins after I clicked send and said they're going to try to help me out. I'm at 121 days and no SA. Fingers crossed!
