What is the time for OCI processing. I submitted to BLS on November 2nd. I checked OCI inquiry and the acceptance date is 7th December. Do you think I will have my OCI by end of December. I want to travel in January 1st week.

my wife’s application status states missing marriage certificate.
how do we upload it??

I didn't get OCI yet, it has been 9 weeks. Their website is not updating. No reply from BLS or CGI.

Hi Friends,
I will take oath this week. Can i surrender indian passport after getting citizenship certificate online before I submit request to canadian passport? Is canadian passport copy mandatory for submitting indian passport? I am planning to speed up the things as am planning to travel in 2 months from now.
And please advise if OCI is fast or taking e-visa is fast to travel to India?

I would suggest take evisa, OCI will take time. I don't think you will get OCI in 2 months.

The oci status tracking shows it is processed and dispatched on 28th march,2024
When will I receive in Toronto?

Any one know the different status meaning for OCI application. I applied on 7th August 2024 and since that day the application status just says "Processing at Consulate General". Just trying to understand what are the next set of status changes expected?

Hi everyone. Can someone please tell me how long it takes to receive my OCI card in mail after it is processed in Delhi but not yet dispatched? I have attached my current status and I have my flight to India on March 23. I need to check if I should apply for evisa or not

Hi, can someone please help me by answering this question?

I applied for an OCI for my 6-month-old baby, but it got rejected because they are not accepting our marriage certificate. I’m from Bangalore, India. As Muslims, we obtained our marriage certificate through the Waqf Board in Bangalore. This certificate has been accepted everywhere else as valid proof of marriage—even for my Canadian spousal visa and permanent residency application.

However, when I applied for an OCI for my child, it was rejected on the grounds that the Waqf Board marriage certificate is not considered a valid marriage certificate. Has anyone successfully applied for an OCI using a Waqf Board marriage certificate?
