OCI application

Hello, I have some questions to ask regarding OCI application for minor..
She was born here in canada and i became citizen too last month. My husband does not have any legal status in canada and he lives in india.
1. do i need father's original passport when applying for her OCI?
2. and for the part where we have to mention the relation.. can i mention myself which means mother but i will be canadian citizen?
3.how do i get her father's signature on the application as both parents have to sign it for the consent?
4. will i need any document to get notarized if her father is in india?

Hi Rachna,

Were you able to submit OCI for you minor kid. I am in same boat. Me and kids are Canadian citizen, wife went back to India and her PR card is expired. BLS website says you need to show valid Canadian status for Spouse.

yes i was able to submit and recieved it too but in my case.. my husband never came to canada. So, BLS didn't asked my anything. They just took all the documents with some extra documents from my husband side like affidavit of his indian passport and NOC for child OCI. You should try calling them and explain the whole situation.. they will give some solution.
