Hello All,
I have a valid driving license which is issued in Iran 2 and a half years ago and it is valid till 2023. How is it possible for me to obtain a driving license in Montreal? I read about the issue in https://saaq.gouv.qc.ca/permis-de-conduire/permis-etranger/. It is mentioned that a proof of residence is necessary. Does anyone know what this proof is? Also, any comments about the issue will be appreciated.

Warm Regards,
Ali

your proof of residence is your electricity/hydro bill on your Quebec address. It should have your name on it. Otherwise you can also use your house lease as a proof of residence. Off course, they will also ask for your immigration documents (passport... work permit...PR card etc whatever you have it should be valid)

I showed my hydro bill with my name on it as a proof of residence when I was exchanging my country license with Quebec's driving license.
