My Grandfather and great grandparents were Canadians.

My mother was born in 1945 to a Canadian father in the UK and had dual citizenship until her death.

What does this mean to my own application for citizenship?

Any advice welcome.

Thank you.

It means you are most likely a Canadian citizen. Apply for your citizenship card and see what happens.

Thank you for your reply.

Does the fact that my mother was born prior to 1947 complicate the process? She resided in Canada for the first year of her life despite being born in the UK.

Other than my mothers birth certificate, grandfathers birth certificate and marriage certificate... Are there any other documents that may help my application?

Appreciate the advice.

Your mother was also born in the UK so I think that you will not have a problem. They were all considered British subjects back then but as you have said, she was a dual citizen later on. You also need your own birth certificate to prove that your mother is your mother.
