I had received ITA in Feb 2016 and had my PCC for home country and all supporting documents submitted with PR application on 04th April and traveled to my home country (India) for 1.5 months. IRCC rejected my PR application on May 06th 2016 for non-submission of spouse PCC for one of the country we stayed for more than six months.

Now I have been waiting for next draw and will submit my PR application again.

Please experts suggest if I need to get PCC for my home country again because I recently traveled for my home country for 1.5 months ?

Yes, you need an updated PCC from your home country after you last visited.

Since the visit is for less than 6 months, you do not need. That's what the rule say.

Really, ours was a visit of 1 week and they wanted an updated one.

I see. Were there other factors which would have made them request a new one? Like expiry on the PCC etc. Did they reject your application altogether, or asked for an updated one.

It'll be great if you can fill in some more details as I have visited my country once for a month since getting my PCC. Not sure if I should re-issue one again.

Here's how it works: your PCC for your home country should cover up to the most recent day which you left the country and then never go back again. How do they know what's your most recent entry and leave? They check your passport scan for stamps and also check your address/travel history you filled in.

According to the new policy, as long as your stay in a country accumulates over 6 months after ur 18th birthday, they'll require a PCC for that country, even if your single stay is just a month or less.

so if you stayed in your home country for more than 6 months after ur 18th birthday, I think you need a new PCC from it for your new submission, and it has to cover up to the last day you left it. When it comes to something such decision-driven like PR app, it is better to be more prepared and concerned right?
