Good Afternoon Folks,

My family and I have the citizenship oath on Oct 15 at CIC- Edmonton.

On the invitation letter it states that we have to be there at 8:15 am. However, on the CIC website it states that the ceremony starts at 9:15 am.

A couple of co-workers are planning to attend the ceremony.

Does anyone know if the 8:15 am time is strictly for persons taking the oath and 9:15 am for guest/public?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Regards,

You have to be there for 8:15. Your guests can arrive with you or anytime before the start of the ceremony. They ask to call you an hour ahead of the ceremony so they can do all the paperwork and seat every one before the start of ceremony.

The actual ceremony starts on or after 9:15.
