NYC Visa Pick Up Inquiry

Hello Guys,

I personally submitted my passport last Thursday for a TRV. I am not from NYC and I left a friend in charge of the pick up today. He lost the little slip required. They told him to write an e-mail or something of that sort. Do you guys know how to proceed? I live in Boston so I would like to avoid traveling to NYC again just for the pick up. Hey I wanna know if you got your passport.And if yes please kindly tell me how did you get it.The same thing happened with me,I submitted my application on the 20th of July on Friday and I was told to come back on Tuesday.I lost that little slip too and they asked me to send an email to them which they never responded.Its almost been a week and its frustrating as I have a return ticket back home this Sunday and I cant go until I have a passport.And the guys are extremely unprofessional.I cant understand their problem in returning my Passport back to me after seeing some id like generally how its done everywhere.
