I got this email today, and they received my passport on Nov.1, should I be worried about the passport return time since I really need my passport to leave the country on Nov.21.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are currently operating on a 1-3 week delay from the time we receive
the original passport(s) to the time we are able to return the
passport(s) via mail. Priority is given to passports submitted through
the VAC. We are unable to answer status enquiries at this time. Should
you wish to withdraw your application, please reply by email and include
"WITHDRAW" in the subject line.

Regards,

What do they mean by 1-3 week delay?? it means 1-3 weeks later than the original processing time(dont know what the original time) or it takes 1-3 weeks to get my pp back?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your knowledge on this!

1 - 3 week delay based on the average processing times listed on their website. The reason being the strike many CIC officers were on between July - September. They have a backlog of applications.

Hope this helps!

Cynthia0109: Did you applied online and just submitted your passport to get a stamp? or you sent a paper-based application?

They don't post passport return times for online applications; the time posted is for regular paper based applications.

I would expect 10-20 days. On a previous experience with LA office it was 14 days
