Numbers on the bottom right of IMM1344 are different. Problem?

I completed and signed IMM1344 while I was with my wife. Later when I returned to Canada, I found a mistake on the form, so I corrected that and reprinted all the pages except for the signature page. Now I've noticed that there's a number on the bottom right corner of the page which changes every time the form is saved, so now the number on the signature page is different than the one on the rest of the pages.

Is this going cause any problems for me down the road? I don't want them returning the application because of this. Yeah it seems trivial, but we are talking about the CIC after all.

That's probably just due to the form verification they use. All you need to worry about is the dates on the forms. If it's been awhile since you downloaded the forms, double check that they match the dates of the forms on the CIC site as they often get updated.

Just an FYI for everyone else who runs into the same question, the numbers actually do have significance and it is important for them to match up. I called up a friend who used to work as an immigration lawyer, and he said that CIC uses those numbers to ensure that no changes were made to the form after signing.

I guess that's possible but that's terrible security if they really go by that at all. It's meaningless. I thought the validation was simply to make sure you don't miss any of the important form fields, and to generate the barcodes for auto entry into their database. Nowhere does it say the numbers need to match, it just mentions data entry.

When we did the forms I left mine open the whole time. We made several mistakes and I kept printing out various pages so none of the numbers matched. I must have validated the forms 10 times or more. We didn't have any issues. But, you're right, who knows with CIC.

I wouldn't be surprised if CIC were actually aliens and all our apps are being processed on Mars.

This thread was in 2015. I just want to know if this is still the case today? My signature page bottom right numbers also do not match from the rest of my forms. Is it ok to send with the different numbers on the signature page or it has to match the rest of the forms?

This number changes every time you validate the form, so yes it is very much the case today as well. And you don't wanna take any chances with not matching those.
