Number of photos required - changed?

I have been putting everything together and making sure I have all the updated forms and just noticed that in the country specific guide (my husband is from Korea) that CIC now only requires 2 recent photos? I'm pretty sure it used to be 9! Why did the number of required photos decrease so much? Can someone confirm that I am reading things correctly and that it is indeed only 2 photos now? Thanks!

Just checked your country's guide , and yes they are requiring only 2 photos , my VO is in South America they asked for way more than that and then they recently requested 4 additional photos .

I also checked my VO's guide and they are requesting 2 photos only . Long live CIC

For Philippines too has changed 2 now instead of 9

It used to be 8 pictures for Poland, and now it is 2.

Same with Iran.. Changed from 8 to 2.
