it is usually issued by Sydney, but local offices can do it as well. It is hardly being issued now, there was a lot issued in 2012 and 2013 - may have been a strategy to slow things down and clear the backlog.

Recently there are few 2014 Jun-Sep applicant received RQ issued by Sydney and the main reason for issuing was residency calculation error, too many travels to US/middle east etc. Sydney issued RQ within few days of showing eCAS In Process status.

Local office now hardly issues any RQ after test except I believe 1-2 person received due to passport stamp and residence calculation clarification or stamp is not clear/unreadable. So, make sure your passport and all travel stamp is clear and matches with CBSA record..

Trend is Sidney issue pre-test full RQ (CIT 0171) with Local Offices issuing mini/lite RQ (CIT 520) usually at test or post test with specific documentation requested.

So should we interpret that the chances for getting RQ (CIT 0171) are remote for files which have been already transferred to local office ?

We only can guess that.... Some vacation trips we had, nothing else comes to our mind.....

I need to know in case of RQ, we will they update ecas?
