Hi,

Application filed June 2011.
AOR Recieved August 2011 by local visa office.
Status still RBVO.

My time line:

Application received by CIO on 8th April 2011.

Received PER/AOR with file no. on 11th May 2011.

Online E-case Status is RBVO since June 2011. (Buffalo)

I noticed that some of the applicants are getting notice about file transfer to other visa offices but their e-case status is still RBVO.

Thanks,

Andy

Cheers .. Hope after the backlogs cleared and based on new release by minister Kenny..Ours should begin processing.

Mine is till in RBVO.. When i enquired Buffalo, they send a standard message.."Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of application will be complete"..

In the meantime I am thinking to apply CEC category too, since as per ministry they will give priroty to CEC and FSW points system will be reformed..but I hope FSW2 would not be impacted, but not sure..

Any other applicants,,,please share your thoughts and status??

I am plannning to send CEC application to by this month end..

Unfortunately for FSW2 category you need to be with same employer untill you get ur PR.. else I would have suggested to get a new workpermit from someother employer or through some consulatancy...so that you can stay in canada and apply CEC..

for FSW2 the Visa office might ask u a company letter from your employer during medical abt ur employment verification..
Try to get the stay extended and extend the work permit with the current employer..

I think changing employer during the PR process should not hamper the case. The bottom line for an FSW2 application is that the employer is offering you a full time permanent position (no time period on job offer / contract to end) with NOC skill level is either 0, or A, or B.

If you need to change the employer, you will need to get a letter from your new employer. If you do change your employer, it is the applicant's responsibility to inform VO about the changes. If in case you do not, and Visa Officer reviews your file, they may ask for clarification or refuse the application.

About the work permit. unfortunatelym, you will need another LMO and work permit to stay legal. You will have 90 days after exipry of your current work permit. If you apply after that, you will need to restore your status, which will incur more expense. LMO generally takes 12-16 weeks for approval from Service Canada/HRSDC, add processing time of CIC on work permit to this.

Shiv

All, Any updates ...

Looks Oct 2010 applicants could see a new line in ecas that their applicants are in process...
It gives some hope that before the new changes could impact they could process the existing application in queue...

Lets keep our fingers crossed.. it should by june we should get some update...

All,

Please post your timelines those who are FSW2 Applied post june26 2010 -choosed Buffalo as VO..
It will help other to track their files.. I see many Buffalo applicants who applied during october, november, dec 2010 seeing some movement in their files... like file transfer to NY and In process..

Mine is still in RBVO and its 18 months

I received an email from CIC last July asking to update my information and fill up ALL the immigration forms again. I decided to withdraw my application because my husband's PNP application was going much faster (we just got PPR last week). So, yeah, it went nowhere...
