Hi guys,

Application Sent: Nov 10, 2013
Application Rec'd: Nov 18, 2013
UCI/App # Rec'd: Jan 13, 2014
Request for Police Certificate: May 28,2014
Request for Medicals: May 29,2014
RPRF: June 2, 2014
Medicals Done: June 6, 2014
Medicals Posted: June 27, 2014

My question is - Is this normal? I'm asking because I was going through the excel file and saw that many of you guys have already received your request for passport and I haven't. Is it because I didn't submit my police certificate at the time of my application? I emailed a scanned copy of my police certificate as soon as I received the email.

Maybe I'm just getting anxious now that the process is in its final stage. :o

Lemme know what do you guys think.

Thanks

Police certificate needs to be sent in original to Ottawa. The scanned copy won't do, as per the document check list.

Yes its normal soon it will be over. It all depend on VISA officer handling your file.
Some time security clearance takes little longer.
And as you mention you send PCC later which is main reason for delay. I think they
need original PCC so send the original document as soon as possible

You are almost done. Good luck

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to send my PCC through mail but there was no address mentioned on the email. So I called the CIC helpline to ask them for an address where I can send my PCC. The agent on the phone told me that if I've already sent them a scanned copy then I don't need to send them a physical copy. But now I'm worried if I should have asked for an address and had sent the PCC regardless to what the agent told me.

Those agents are idiots they dont know any thing. I dont think you have any thing to worried about. It will just delay your application thats it.
They may consider that scan as well but I will still send it to avoid any unnecessary delay. Below is the address ..Good luck

Same here...I hope we don't have one of those cases where email was sent by CIC but we never got it (read few instances of it in forum). They had to follow up with CIC after few weeks to get it.
