Hi everybody!
I am Alex, I come from Italy but I'm typing from Calgary. I'm here on a working holiday visa, but my purpose when I left, was to find a settlement here in Canada and bring here my family (my partner and 3 kids).
I heard about this provincial program and I would like to apply, but I have concerns about this requirement:
- "You have at least two (2) years of continuous full-time work experience within the last five (5) years, in a field of work related to your intended occupation in Nova Scotia";
...and...
- "Your intended occupation is a National Occupational Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B and there is demonstrated demand for this occupation in the regional labour market in the community in which you intend to live".
This is my personal situation...
Considering the last 5 years I have just 2 years of experience in the financial field:
15/06/09 - 11/09/09 (13 weeks) Findomestic - 1435 Collectors
13/09/10 - 31/05/11 (36 weeks) Ing - 6235 Financial sales representatives / 6551 Customer services representatives financial institutions
23/01/12 - 21/09/12 (35 weeks) Deutsche Bank - 6235 Financial sales representatives
10/06/13 - 13/07/13 (5 weeks) Genialloyd 40h - 6231 Insurance agents and brokers
15/07/13 - 31/10/13 (16 weeks) Genialloyd 32h - 6231 Insurance agents and brokers
[Previously I have another year and more in one other credit office]
Now, my doubts are:
1- What does "continuous" mean? I'm scared of know the answer...
2- Those NOC would be compatible with the eligibility criteria? I searched them by my-self but they could be wrong. In case.. how should I proof they are exact?
3- Looking at that... Basically... I'm in or I'm out??
Thanks and sorry for the long post!
Alex
