Nova scotia/Halifax

Is nova scotia / halifax good place to move, got 2 kids, is it safe? expenseive? good schools?

need some opinions and suggestions..

I'm from Cape Breton Island.
Though I don't know much about Halifax, I will say that Nova Scotia in general is a great place to live, if you like a quiet life. It's a safe place, the people are very friendly and the scenery is beautiful.
