Notification of COPR?

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if anyone would even know the answers to the following questions, but just thought I would try and ask anyway, in the hope that someone might be able to shed some light.

I am from a visa-exempt EU country and just wanted to try and have an idea of what I should be looking out for as the next 'milestone' in my PR application.

1) Being from a visa-exempt EU country, I assume that I would not have to send my passport away for a visa counterfoil, but wondered if (based on anyone's own experience/knowledge) COPRs can ever be issued without either the visa-exempt passport being sent off, or a copy of the photo page being uploaded following a request from CIC?

2) I have been stuck in what is possibly IP2 for a little while now (over a month, with family info form and RPRF requested by CIC a week or two ago) and wondered if these should be viewed as positive signs that good news is not far away, and that I have at least hopefully passed initial eligibility, if they have asked that I pay the RPRF? My AOR was early September and I applied under the CEC stream.

If Q2 is a good indicator... great! If not, I wondered if I should "risk" calling having seen no change after a couple of weeks now, having uploaded right away. I used the term risk, as I kinda have a fear of getting yelled at by the agent taking the call :eek::(, as I'm only 2 months into the standard processing time.

3) Has a visa-exempt applicant ever been told over the the phone after calling "Yes, your COPR has been issued, and is on its way to you!"? Would the agents taking calls possibly have visibility of something like that happening at a local VO, and is there any inbox/CIC account notification to applicants before their COPR arrives at their home?

Any thoughts/feedback of experiences greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

You will receive PPR email like everyone else and you need to provide a copy of your passport before they issue you COPR

Being asked for pay for RPRF is a good sign but nothing is final until PPR (or you application is approved for that matter). Feel free to call, you won't risk anything. Although it is a bit early to call given it's only been 2 months.

Agent can tell you if your application has bee approved or if the COPR has been printed. You won't get notification when they post COPR

Hi @ContactFront,

Thanks for the reply!

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the PPR if/when the time comes.

I definitely know from other applicant's stories that anything can happen in the time it takes to get to the PPR stage, so I'm remaining cautious until everything is done and dusted.

If I can, I think I'll also try and maybe wait till at least the 3 month mark before calling :D.

Cheers!
